Welcome to the Westminster Oxford Research Network, the home of Methodist research in the City of Oxford.
With a mission statement of “Enabling research into Methodist history, heritage & theology to support & enable the Church’s modern Mission in Britain & Beyond“, we are a growing community of researchers, we also care for one of the largest collections of resources exploring Methodist Britain, and the work of the British Methodist Church overseas. We seek to continue the work of Westminster College, the Methodist teacher training college founded in 1851, which relocated to Harcourt Hill in 1959, whilst also reimagining its purpose for the 21st century. Alongside this work, we support the activities of the Methodist Church, both nationally and in Oxford.
