Our collections are held in the newly opened Gibbs Library, and are varied and expansive. All relating to the People called Methodists, they include archival material; printed items; artefacts; and works of art. They serve as a resource to learn about, and to support, British Methodism, both in the past, and today.
As well as being available to consult in Oxford, much of our material can be viewed remotely. Why not book a visit; explore our collections online; or listen to some music recorded in the Westminster College Chapel?
Our collections can currently be explored through our:
- Online Library Catalogue (newly launched in autumn 2025)
- Illustrated Art Catalogue (lists all of our art collections alongside each other, released in 2026)
- Digital Collections (includes material from across our collections, including material from the Wesley Historical Society & Methodist Education collections)
- Individual Collection Catalogues (listed below)
To explore our collections in person, please book a visit to the Gibbs Library at Wesley Memorial Church, Oxford.
